This camera is designed to be used as an abandoned surveillance sensor, as with the CAVA systems, but unlike them the camera does not have data transmission. The zoom is set manually by pressing the buttons on the side of the unit.

The RCA socket on the rear enables real-time video display (for zoom setting) and displays the video stream recorded during playback.

The jack is an earphone plug enabling you to hear the recorded audio stream via a headset during playback.

There are 4 different ways of video recording:
Via infrared remote control, which also enables the recording parameters to be set (compression, etc.)
Using a detection mode, which starts recording when the image varies suddenly (motion detection, etc.)
Using a detection mode which activates recording via a sensor  (footstep detector, laser barrier, etc.)
Programming recording using a memorised calendar system.
